SUMMARY:Corps of Signals Motorcycle Rally reaches PPS\, Nabha to inspire youth
DESCRIPTION:A motorcycle rally commemorating the 116th Raising Day of the Corps of Signals is currently underway to honour veterans and war heroes and to inspire the youth to remember the valour and sacrifice of the armed forces. \nA team comprising eight officers\, one JCO and ten jawans\, led by Col Rajeev Kumar\, is covering an approximate distance of 2000 km. The rally commenced from Delhi on February 15\, 2026\, and is passing through Hisar\, Mandi Dabwali\, Abohar\, Amritsar\, Nabha\, Chandigarh and Dehradun\, culminating at Meerut. \nThe rally reached The Punjab Public School\, Nabha\, on February 21\, 2026. Lt Col Archana Singh interacted with the students and apprised them of the vital role and functioning of the Corps of Signals. She highlighted the strength and professionalism of the Indian Army and encouraged the young minds to join the Army to serve the nation. \nHeadmaster Dr DC Sharma presented mementos to the team members and expressed his gratitude for inspiring and motivating the students.

Lt Gen Sahi presented mementos to the students as a token of appreciation for their dedication and accomplishments. Addressing the gathering\, he inspired the young graduates to work diligently towards achieving their goals and to face life’s challenges with resilience and determination.\nHeadmaster Dr DC Sharma\, in his address\, encouraged the students to uphold the values instilled in them and to engage in righteous deeds that would bring honour to their alma mater. The prize distribution ceremony of the prestigious equestrian event was held at the PPS campus on January 19\, 2026.\nAs many as twelve teams from renowned schools and institutes participated in the competition\, making the event highly competitive. Demonstrating exceptional skill\, discipline\, and teamwork\, the PPS riders dominated the showjumping events and secured the top overall slot.\nThe PPS contingent won an impressive total of nine medals\, including two gold\, three silver\, and four bronze medals. Lovinder Singh won one gold and one bronze medal\, while Kanwar Jaideep Singh also bagged one gold and one bronze. Dhanveer Singh added to the tally with two silver medals\, Jujharveer Singh secured one silver medal\, and Birkunwar Singh bagged two bronze medals.\nHeadmaster Dr DC Sharma felicitated the officials and office-bearers of Dream Alliance on the occasion. Congratulating the riders on their remarkable achievement\, he lauded their dedication and hard work and complimented the team for bringing laurels to the school. The assembly commenced with a mesmerizing ‘Shabad’ rendered by the Jr. School choir group. The speeches delivered in English\, Hindi and Punjabi emphasized his teachings\, noble work and the ideas that he preached. The poems recited by students was a wonderful tribute to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life.\nThe Headmaster\, Dr DC Sharma addressed the audience and explained the three main tenents of Sikh religion that is Kirat Karna\, Wand Chakhna and Naam Japna. He inspired the students to follow the path of truth\, service and devotion. The first lady\, Dr Anita Sharma was also present for the occasion.

This\, he noted\, is key to building confidence\, nurturing emotional well-being\, and supporting social development. \nDr Singh also highlighted the critical role of teachers’ training as a cornerstone of professional growth. He called for continuous development programmes to empower educators with the skills and mindset needed to deliver high-quality education. SUMMARY:Sri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations at PPS
DESCRIPTION:To commemorate the auspicious birth of Lord Krishna\, a special assembly brimming with devotion and splendour was organised in the auditorium on August 16\, 2025. The venue came alive with colour and festivity as students arrived dressed as Lord Krishna\, Sri Radha\, cowherd boys and girls\, recreating the divine aura of Vrindavan.\nThe programme unfolded with a mesmerising video presentation tracing Krishna’s journey from His miraculous birth in Mathura to His youthful days in Vrindavan\, and ultimately to His role as the guiding force in the Mahabharata. The vivid images transported the audience to a world of myth\, legend\, faith and eternal wisdom. \nThe Junior School Choir lent a devotional note to the occasion with melodious bhajans\, filling the hall with an atmosphere of piety\, surrender and joy. Speeches in English\, Hindi and Punjabi highlighted the significance of Janamashtami and shed light on the timeless message of Lord Krishna. A group of students further enriched the programme by presenting the Gita Saar in English\, Hindi and Punjabi\, reminding everyone of Krishna’s eternal counsel on duty\, righteousness and faith. \nA major highlight of the celebration was the display of Jhankis (dioramas)\, artistically portraying enchanting episodes from Krishna’s life. From the playful stealing of butter to the lifting of Govardhan Hill\, each scene was crafted with devotion and detail. The sight of Krishna and Radha gracefully seated on a beautifully adorned swing added to the charm\, symbolising divine love and eternal bliss. \nThe Headmaster\, Dr DC Sharma\, addressed the gathering with words of inspiration. He urged the students to imbibe the values exemplified by Lord Krishna−to remain steadfast in principles\, uphold truth\, and believe in the ultimate triumph of good over evil. He also reminded everyone to keep their hearts open to the unexpected blessings of the Divine\, which often come disguised as life’s trials and lessons.\nThe celebration concluded on a note of joy\, reflection and spiritual upliftment\, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of faith and devotion.

DESCRIPTION:A special assembly was organised by Jr.School students to express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day\, the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli  Radhakrishnan great teacher\, philosopher\, and former President of India. A group of students gave a mesmerizing performance by playing the different musical instruments. Speeches were delivered in English and Punjabi highlighting the contribution of  Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Poems were also recited in Hindi. Melody of songs sung by these young Nabhaites left everyone spell bound.A short enactment was also put up by these energetic and talented artists. The Headmaster\, Dr.DC Sharma addressed the audience and motivated these young minds to respect their teachers.The first lady\, Dr Anita Sharma appreciated the efforts put by the participants. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem. Students were served ice -cream by the first lady\, Dr.Anita Sharma for their wonderful performance.

DESCRIPTION:The NCC (Air Wing) cadets of The Punjab Public School solemnly observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26\, 2025\, in accordance with the directives of Gp HQ NCC Patiala and 3 Punjab Air NCC Patiala. The day commemorates the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during Operation Vijay\, which culminated in a historic victory for India on July 26\, 1999. The operation led to the successful recapture of key positions in the Kargil sector that had been occupied by Pakistani intruders\, restoring the sanctity of the Line of Control. \nA total of 527 brave soldiers laid down their lives\, and over 1300 were wounded during the conflict. The Indian Air Force\, working in close coordination with the Indian Army\, played a pivotal role in the operation\, which was codenamed Safed Sagar. \nAs part of the observance\, cadets paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs and took a solemn pledge to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. An online class was also conducted to mark the occasion\, during which cadets created thought-provoking paintings reflecting the spirit of the day. \nAddressing the cadets\, Headmaster Dr DC Sharma highlighted the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and urged them to draw inspiration from the courage\, patriotism\, and selfless service of the armed forces. The observance served as a poignant reminder of the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers and reinforced the values of duty\, honour\, and country among the young cadets.

The English Play “Mind Your Language” by Vince Powell was an instant hit with the audience. Centred on an English teacher’s humorous struggle to teach the language to a class of transnational students\, it was both entertaining and relatable. The Solo Song “Har Ghari Badal Rahi Hai” by Satyajeet was a lilting addition. It was followed by the Semi-Classical Dance. A duet Sufi song “Jugni” by the duo of Khushmeen and Sukhman was a sheer revelation. The next item was Kalbelia\, the folk dance of Rajasthan. The mime on the journey of human evolution kept the audience glued to their seats. Finally\, the cultural evening ended with the energetic performance of Giddha and Bhangra.
