SUMMARY:Air Wing cadets celebrate Air Force Day
DESCRIPTION:The Indian Air Force officially came into being on October 8\, 1932. Its first flight took off on April 1\, 1933. It was earlier known as Royal Air Force. The prefix “Royal” was done away with after India was declared a Republic in 1950. Today Indian Air Force is 42-squadron strong but only 31 of them are functional. Currently\, we depend on Russia\, France\, England\, Brazil\, America\, Israel\, Ukraine\, Germany\, and Spain for our security needs other than doing everything possible to be self-reliant. Tejas fighter aircraft is an example. The Indian Air Force exhibited unparalleled valour in 1962\, 1965 and 1971. \nThe Punjab Public School\, Nabha has scripted a golden chapter as far as guarding the frontiers is concerned. Many officers laid down their lives for the protection of the motherland. \nOn this occasion\, the NCC Air Wing cadets took part in tree plantation. They took a vow to serve the motherland. They participated in a painting competition as well. Headmaster Dr DC Sharma complimented the efforts of the cadets and NCC (Air Wing) Incharge Chief Officer Shahid Ahmed and NCC (Army Wing) Incharge\, Second Officer Amandeep Singh.
