PPS celebrates 80th Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at The Punjab Public School with great fervour and enthusiasm. The chief guest, Dr GS Madhav Rao, an eminent educationist, hoisted the tri-colour and inspected the guard of honour. All the three wings of NCC were in attendance. It was followed by speeches by Eshreet Kaur, Shama Choudhary and Shaelbeer Singh on the relevance of the day in English, Hindi and Punjabi respectively. The school choir sang patriotic songs. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rao called upon the student community to nurture the values of discipline, integrity and character. Headmaster Dr D C Sharma proposed the vote of thanks and motivated the students to cultivate values and maintain discipline and integrity in every walk of life. Dr Sharma gave the chief guest a token of deeply felt respect and gratitude.
