A total of 527 brave soldiers laid down their lives, and over 1300 were wounded during the conflict. The Indian Air Force, working in close coordination with the Indian Army, played a pivotal role in the operation, which was codenamed Safed Sagar.
As part of the observance, cadets paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs and took a solemn pledge to serve the nation with dedication and integrity. An online class was also conducted to mark the occasion, during which cadets created thought-provoking paintings reflecting the spirit of the day.
Addressing the cadets, Headmaster Dr DC Sharma highlighted the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and urged them to draw inspiration from the courage, patriotism, and selfless service of the armed forces. The observance served as a poignant reminder of the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers and reinforced the values of duty, honour, and country among the young cadets.
